Longstanding partner of Slam Jam over the years, Sofia Prantera founded Aries in London in 2010 together with graphic design legend Fergus Purcell and the support of Slam Jam's Luca Benini, on the heels of almost a decade of designing cult streetwear label Silas. By combining an eclectic set of references that mirror her own particular biography and passions (subcultures, cyberpunk, skateboarding, raves, the British landscape, to name a few…), Prantera has created a label that shrugs of easy classification, combining authentic streetwear staples with subversive branding re-appropriation with high fashion and moments of delicate femininity.
